OnePlus, the renowned smartphone brand, is all set to showcase its latest concept phone at the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2023, to be held from February 27 to March 2 in Barcelona. This year’s event offers a platform for tech companies to demonstrate their cutting-edge products and innovations, and OnePlus is all set to leave a lasting impression with its brand-new concept phone.
The company has hinted that the concept device will flaunt an entirely fresh design and will introduce a host of new technologies. However, details about the device are scarce at the moment, and it is likely that the concept phone will not be available for sale.
In the past, OnePlus has demonstrated several concept phones at MWCs, though none of them have ever seen the light of day in commercial form. In 2020, the company displayed two concept smartphones, one of which, the OnePlus Concept One, featured invisible cameras. The company had partnered with McLaren, the luxury sports car maker, to achieve this feat using electrochromic glass, a technology usually found in aircraft windows and premium vehicles.
Another concept phone showcased later that year was essentially the OnePlus 8T, with a colour-changing back panel. This was made possible by the use of “Electronic Colour, Material and Finish,” which allowed the back panel to change colour upon receiving phone calls or notifications.
With technology advancing at a rapid pace, the world is eager to see what OnePlus has in store for the MWC 2023.
