WhatsApp is on a mission to continuously improve the user experience. With the latest beta version of the app, the platform is showcasing several new features that are sure to enhance the way people communicate and share media. Here are three of the most notable updates coming to WhatsApp soon.
Original Photo Quality WhatsApp is taking photo sharing to the next level with its upcoming update that will allow users to share images in their original quality. Currently, the app compresses image quality to save on mobile data and speed up sharing, but this comes at the cost of image quality. With this new feature, WhatsApp users will be able to select original quality as an option before sharing their images. However, this feature won’t be available by default as it will consume more mobile data.
Increased Media Sharing Limit WhatsApp beta testers can now share up to 100 images with contacts, compared to the current limit of 30. This update will allow users to share larger amounts of photos at once, without having to repeat the process multiple times. The increased media sharing limit has been spotted in the latest Android 2.23.4.3 beta update and is expected to be available to all users in a future update.
QR Code Chat Transfer WhatsApp is also making it easier to transfer chat history to a new Android phone. With the new QR code transfer feature, users will no longer have to back up their chats to Google Drive before transferring. The process will now be as simple as opening the chat transfer section on the new phone and scanning a QR code on the old phone. The exact timeline for this feature’s release is unknown, but it is expected to be available in a future update.
These new features are sure to bring a fresh perspective to the WhatsApp experience. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available!
